A By-law to raise the necessary rates in the Township of Clarke for the year I949.
The Municipal Council of the Corporation of the Township of Clarke
enacts as follows:
That the several rates herein mentioned be levied, .assessed and
collected on the rateable property in the Township of Clarke for the
year I949 and the several rates shall be levied, collected and paid
to the proper officer of the Municipality in the manner and at such
times as the Statutes of the Province Qf Ontario and the By-laws of
the Corporation require.
~"' Provided however that on all taxes remaining unpaid after the fif-
teenth day of December nett an additional charge of two per Dent
for non-payment shall be added and paid by way of penalty.
First
A rate to be levied for County purposes for the year I949 of
mills made up of County Rate /.?~ ~, mills and ,,County School Rate of
~.~ mills on the dollar.
Second
'~`~~ rate to be levied for Township purposes for the year I949 of
l~ mills on the dollar which by reason of the Provincial SRbsidy
Act;Now Cancelled, is reduced by one mill on the dollar and will be
made up in the form of a grant by the Province of Ontario.
Third
A 'rate to be levied for Township school purposes for the year
I949 as per Bill I90 cited in th® Consolidated Public School Act
I920 and amendments thereto of ~_ mills on the dollar.
Fourth
~A-rate to be levied for Bowmanville Memorial Hospital as per
By-law II35 of ~_ Mills on the dollar.
Fifth~~=
`~A rate to be levied for Ganaraska Watershed purposes of
~_ mills on the dollar.
