The Municipal Council of the Corporation of the Township of Clarke
enacts as follows:
That the several rates herein mentioned be levied, assessed and
collected on the rateable property in the Township of Clarke for the
year 1955 and the several rates shall be levied, collected and paid
to the proper officer of the Municipality in the manner and at such
times as the Statutes of the Province of Ontario and the by-laws oP this
Municipality require.
Provided however that on all taxes remaining unpaid after the
fifteenth day of December next an additional charge of two per cent
for non-payment shall be added and paid by way of penalty.

A rate to be levied for Counties purposes for the year 1955 of
,~o•~ mills on the dollar.
A rate to be levied for Township purposes for the year 1955 of
i mills on the dollar and ~.p' mills on the dollar on
the police Village of Orono in 1~'e-u "o-f'-the former rate - both
which by reason of the Province of Ontario will be supplemented
by per capita population and road expenditure subsidization grants.
A rate to be levied for Township General School purposes for the
year 1955 as per Bill 190 cited in th onsolidated Public Schools
Act 1920 and amendments thereto of mills on the dollar.
A rate to be levied for the Ganaraska River Conservation Authority
urposes of .S mills on the dollar to raise the amount of
~I400.00 eac~i -year for the years 1952 t0 1956 inclusive.
A rate to be levied for Durham County District High School purposes of
•~ mills on the dollar for the year 1955.
A rate to be levied for Hydro Street Lighting purposes in the defined
area constituting the Hamlet of Newtonville of /•,~ mills on the
dollar for the year 1955•
A rate to be levied for Hydro Street Lighting purposes in the
defined area constituting the Hamlet of Kendal of 2•S mills on the
dollar for the year 1955•
