WHEREAS it is desirable that the la.yitl~' nut aa~d :s~zpervision of all work and
expenditure upon improvement and maintenance of roads withi.3 the exclusive jurisdiction
of this council should be s~rtder the supervision of a road superintendent, acting under
its direction;
AND WHEREAS !t 9:'s fhe desire.of this council to t.^yke advantage of The Highway
Improvement. Act and-to zeceive the Government giant as pro;rided in the said AeLo
BE IT THEREFORE ENACTED by the council of the muny~;ir~al corporation of the said
township and it 3s hereby enacted:
1. That

1's~appointed road superintendent in the said township to acs, as aforesaid in aecardance
with the provisi+~ns of the said Act from the ~ day ofi qr,,~N~ 19
and during the ~~leasitre o £ the said crouncil. •
2. 'Tha.L the road superintendent shgl,l 'be paid- at the rate of $ 2800 • =°
per. ~a~~/~-~ fog such time as ~kie rosy be so employed.
3. THAT it shall be the duty ot'the:superintendent to lav out and supervise
all work arsd expenditure on roads within tide exclusive jurisdiction of-this township
council in accordance with the provisions o~ the Highway Ymprovemen•,. Act.
