Please be advised that the abo~~e cited by-?aw has re- ceived consideration as a charge against the allotment for Special Capital Projects in t:1e Department'8 estimates for the current fiscal year. The Honourable Fred M. Casa, Minister of Highways, has approved ox the proposed e:~penditu:.e, for sube~~dy purposes, to a limit of $ • 19~7Qp, for Construction, SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOVI~ING CONDITIONS: A~-~a~r ~. `~ 1. That the expenditure (s) shall be made only for the •~@%° ~~ purposes set out in the by-law and s~.zpporting pro~~ ~;, ~ r, t ~ gramme and shall not be diverted, either in whol~ ~~ ~ ~~ 's= ~ or in part, to any other purpose without the prior tiR `^~.,;~k,`{J; ~,:' consent in writing of the Municipal Engineer. ~....~`"~ . 2. That the individual works of xoad and bridge con- struction and the purchase of each unit of equipment and the awaxd of contracts for same shall be subject to' the approval of an engineer of the Municipal Roads Branch. 3. That the District Municipal Engineer shall be in• formed and his consent obtained before tenders are called for the proposed work or purchase ~md before any commit.,nent is made by the Municipality. N. B. In the event that any portion of the cost of the proposed work or purchase is to be raised in a subsequent year or financed by the issue of debentures, the. approval of the G=r+.tario lviunicipal Board must be obtained before the work or purchase is authorized or any commitment made with respect thereto. JVL/ET Encl. i ., „ .form MR.16, 58.3802 SUPPLE]~'ENTARY BY-LAW NO. 1~4 7 A BY-LAW TO PROVIDE FOR THE 19 ~i0 EXPENDITURES ON ROADS IN THE TOWNSHIP OF ~~ IN THE CGS OF ~~~' WHEREAS The Highway Improvement Act requires that the total expenditure on roads be provided for annually by by-law and that the by-law be submitted to the Minister of Highways for approval. THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the said Township enacts as follows: (1) The sum of $1.9. ~©0.00 is hereby estimated as the expenditure upon the constructioq and maintenance of the roads and bridges under its jurisdiction during the year 19 60 as follows: Construction Maintenance Total ROADS ..................... $12, 200.00 $ $ 12, 200.00 $ BRIDGES & CULVERTS ~, 040.00 $ $ g ~ 000.00 ........ $ NEW MACHINERY 2, X00.00 $ nil $ 2 s X00.00 ............ (3) The clerk shall transmit duplicate copies of this by-law to the district office of the Municipal Roads Branch, Department of Highways, not later than March 31st of the said year. (4) The approval of the Ontario Municipal Board shall be obtained before any expenditure is authorized or work commenced which will be financed by the issue of debentures or monies raised in a subsequent year.
