Home My WebLink About1340A By-law to authorize the borrowing of $78,140.00 upon debentures for the purpose of contributing this Township's share of the cost of an addition to the Memorial Hospital, Bowmanville. r r J ~ . 4.~ The said debentures shall b® sealed with the seal of the Corporation, and signed by the head of the Council, or by some oth®r pwrson authorized by by-law to sign the same, and by the Treasurer. The said interest coupons shall be signed by the Treasurer and his signature thereon may be written, stamped, lithographed or engraved. 5. Commencing in the year 1961 and in each year thereafter of the currency of the debentures, alI sums required to pay off the debentures and to pay interest thereon shall be raised by assessment upon all the rateable property of ratepayers in tY~e Township of Clarke, and accordingly in each year of the currency of the debentures there shall be levied and raised by a special rate sufficient therefor, over and above all other rates,. on all the taxable property of rate- payers in the Township of Clarke, at the same time and in the same manner as other rates, the sum shown for the respective year in the fourth column of Schedule "A" hereto annexed. 6, The said debentures may contain a clause providing for the registration thereof pursuant to Section 335 of The Municipal Act. 7. Pending the sale of the said debentures, the head of the Counoil and the Treasurer may raise for the purpose aforesaid, by way of loan on such debentures, any sum or sums of money not exceed- ing in all the sum hereby authorized to be borrowed, and may hypo- thecate such debentures for such loan.
