The Council of the Township of Clarke, hereinafter called
the "Council"
OF THE FIRST PART
- and -
14Tr. Cecil Graham of the Village of Orono, hereinafter
palled the "CONTRACTOR"
OF THE SECOND PART.
The Contractor agrees to collect, remove and dispose of all
garbage, night-soil and other refuse from the Village of Orono
area in accordance with By-law No. 1356 being a by-law for the
collection, removal and disposal of garbage, night-soil and other
refuse in the Village of Orono area and in conformity Faith the
terms of the said by-law, and to remove to and dispose of all
such garbage, night-soil and other refuse on the disposal grounds
provided for the Village of Orono.
The Contractor agrees to furnish, supply, operate and maintain
all equipment, horses, trucks, wagons, etc., incidental to the
collection, removal and disposal of such garbage, night-soil and
other refuse.
The Contractor is responsible for his own compensation for
injury or illness to himself o.r any labour hired by him, or for
his horses, and is responsible for the proper care and maintenance of
his own equipment.
The Trustees of the Police Villa.ae of Orono covenants and agrees
to pay the Contractor during the term of each twelve months from
January 1~ 1960, until revised., the sum. of One Thousand, Five Hundred
Dollars (~~1,500.00) payable on the last day of each month commencing
on January 31, 1960, for the proper fulfillment of the service to
be rendered bzr the Contractor under this agreement.
It is mutually understood and agreed that this contract may be
terminated bzr either party herein, giving thirty days notice in
writing to the other party herein.
