WHEREAS it is deemed eapedient to pro-
habit the cots hereinafter set forth pursuant to the powers
granted under the Municipal Act;
THEREFORE the Couna it of the Corporation
of the Township of Clarke I~IQACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. In this by-law -
"highway" means a common and public highway, and
includes a street and a bridge forming part of n
highway or on, over or across which a highway passes.
2. No person shall throw, place deposit or otherwise cause
to appear on a highway within the Corporation any dirt, filth,
glass, handbills, paper or other rubbish or refuse, or the car-
cass of any animal.
3. Any person who contravenes any provision of this by-law
shall upon conviction be liable to a penalty not ezaeeding
$300.00 recoverable under The Summary Convictions Act.
