HomeMy WebLinkAbout1908A by-law to establish a park and museum WHEREAS Sarah Jane Williams, of the Town of Bowmanville, has by deed dated December 10th, 1960, and registered January 16th, 1961, as Instrument No. N 13267, donated and granted to The Corporation of the Town of Bowrnanville the Former Jury Estate property fronting on Silver, Wellington and Temperance streets, being all of Lot 170 and parts of Lots 16$, 169, 171 and 172 according to Grants Plan of the Town of Bowmanville for the purpose of a park and museum to be used in connection with the historical, cultuzal and recreational activities for the general benefit of the community, AND WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Bovananville is desireous of formally establishing such park and museum, NOVd THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Bowmanville pursuant to The Municipal Act R.S.O. 1960, Chapter 249, Section 377, paragraph 69, HEREBY ENACTS as follows: 1. That the Corporation of the Town of Bowmanvillw establish, maintain, operate and manage the said lands and premises fronting on Silver, Wellington and Temperance Streets in the Town o£ Bowmanville as a park and museum to be used in connection with the historical, cultural and recreational activities for the general benefit of the community.
