the regulations made thereunder, the Corporation has authority to issue
and charge fees for licences to hunt pheasants, rabbits and foxes during
the open season for such game, within the said Township,
Now Therefore the Municipal Council of the Corporation of the Township
of Clarke enacts as follows:
(1) That no person shall hunt pheasants, rabbits or foxes within the Townx
ship of Clarke in the County of Durham until a licence for that purpose
has been obtained and such licence to be in addition to any other
licence or perm it .required by law of the Federal or Provincial
Governments.
(2) The Clerk of the Township of Clarke or other person or persons appointed
from time to time by the Council shall issue and sell the following:
(a~ A licence for nonxresidents of the Township of Clarke or nonx
residents of Ontario, to hunt pheasants, rabbits and foxes at a
fee of $3.30 per season.
(b) A licence for residents of the Township of Clarke to hunt
pheasants, rabbits and foxes at a fee of $1.10.
(c) A licence for nonxresidents of the Township of Clarke or
nonresidents of Ontario to hunt rabbits and foxes upon the
closing of the pheasant season at a fee of X2.30.
(3j The fee prescribed for each licence shall be paid as and when same
is issued.
(4) The licence issuer shall receive 30 cents for each nonxresident licence
and 10 cents for each resident licence issued by the licence issuer
out of the above licence fees.
(5) That for the purpose of this ByxLaw all Township licences issued within
the County of Durham are non reciprocal during the pheasant season, but
are reciprocal for rabbits and foxes upon closing of the pheasant season.
(6) In this ByxLaw, the words 'Resident of the Township" means any
person who is a farmer, landowner or tenant within the Township.
(7) In this ByxLaw the words '~NonxResident of the Township« means any
person who does not own property or reside within the jurisdiction
of the Township of Clarke.
($) A minimum of 200 licences must be availgble for use of nonxresidents.
(9) That a member of Council be appointed annually as a representative
of the said Game Commission.
(10)That ByxLaw No. 1243 is now and hereby repealed.
