Whereas the Council of the Township of Clarke deems
it expedient to amend By-law ?VTo. 1623 (a By-law to authorize
the construction, reconstruction, extension of certain
capital works in the Police Vi_ll.age of Orono ~.n the Township
of Clarke as a_ hocal Improvement under the provisions
of The Local Improvement Act).
i~ToLV Therefore the. Council of the Corporation of the
Toy^•nshi.p of Clarke enact s as follows
1. That paragraph ?. and ~'. of By-law No. 1623 are now
and hereby repealed and the follo~n~ing substituted
therefor:
']. The treasurer may (subject to the approval of the
Council) ai~ree with any bank or person for
temporary advances of money to me-:et the cost of
thF work pending the completion of it at such
rate of interest as may be agreed upon ~~Tith the
said Bank.
~. Ar_y debentures to be issued for the loan to be
effected to pay for the .cost of the ~^7ork ~~~hen
completed shall bear interest at such rate as
may be a~'reed upon with the said Bank and be
made payable i~~ithin 5 years on the instalment plan.
2. That this By-law shall come into effect from the passing
thereof.
