WHEREAS the Newtonville Community Hall Committee through
their Secretary M'rs. Reid Wood have requested the ~dunicipal
Corporation of the Township of Clarke to establish the New-
tonville Community Hall in aocrordance with the provisions of
the Community Centres Aot and have conveyed the said property
to the said Municipal Corporation by a deed N25180 for West
Durham (Registered 9th March 1965):
BE IT THEREFORE ENACTED by the Municipal Council of the
Corporation of the Township of Clarke as follows;-
1. THAT the lands conveyed to the Corporation of the Township
of Clarke by deed N25180 being the lands occupied by the New-
tonville Community Hall be and the same are hereby accepted by
the Municipal Corporation for use as a Community Centre;
2. THAT the Newtonville Community Hall be and is hereby
established es a Community Hall in accordance with the Pro-
visions of The Community Centres Act, being R.S.O. 1960,
Chapter 60, and amendments thereto;
3. THAT the property in deed N25180 being the Newtonville Community
Hall shall be operated for the use and benefit of all residents
within the Township of Clarke and particularly within the area
known as the Newtonville Community and shall be under the manage-

went and control of a board consisting of seven members, each
appointed by the Council of the Municipal Corporation of the
Township of Clarke, five of whom wherever possible shall be
resident ratepayers of the Community of Newtonville and two
members who shall be Councillors of the Municipal Council of the
Township of Clarke.
