REPORT NO.: P-61-80 SUBJECT: Proposed Site Plan Agreement, Rainbow Motel • Part of Lot 25, Concession 1, former Township of Clarke - James Canty.- Our File S-P-3-4 BACKGROUND: The attached Report Number P-51-80 was tabled at the March 17, 1980 Planning and Development Committee Meeting, pending receipt of further information in respect of the development of the property. COMMENT: Staff has inspected the property and feels that the development • of the site will be adequately controlled by the provisions of the proposed development agreement. For this reason, it is strongly re- commended that the proposed agreement be forwarded to Council for approval, in order that the development of the site will not be delayed further. It is noted that the site plans have been circulated to and approved by both the Ganaraska Conservation Authority and the Durham Health Unit. ~~~ ~ ~ ~~ ~ ~~i _. ~ ~ ~~ ~ ~__ ~~ - 2 - RECOMMENDATION: It is respectfully recommended: 1. That this report be received for information; 2. That. Report P-51-80 be lifted from the table; and 3. REPORT N0: P-S1-80 SUBJECT: Proposed Site Plan Agreement • Rainbow Motel - Part Lot 25, Concession 1, former Township of Clarke - J. Canty BACKGROUND: As you are aware, By-law 79-151 of the Town of Newcastle requires the proponents of certain classes of development in the Town to obtain approval of site plans and to negotiate a development agree- went with the Town as a precondition of development. Mr. J. Canty willies to erect a J,100 square Foot addition, tom- . prising 8 motel units, to an existing 4,100 square foot building containing a motel and restaurant. 'The attached development agreement executed by the Owner and the plan included as Schedule "C" have been circulated to staff For comnu:nts; but because of the minor nature of the development proposed, staff did not feel it was necessary to present the agreement to the Site Plan Conunittec. ,y- RECOMMENllATION: -z- IC is respectfully recommended: 1.
