Res. # . By-Law # Recommendations: It is respectfully recommended that the General Purpose and Administration Committee recommend to Council the following: 1. THAT Administrator's report ADMIN. 45 - 97 be received for information. BACKGROUND: During the course of the 1997 budget process, the Chief Administrative Officer was requested to report quarterly on the outstanding issues to be presented to Council. in that regard, we are presenting the following: 1. Resolution C-486-94, July 18 1994 -Correspondence from Bill & Debra Waddell and neighbours requesting to purchase the property immediately past the rear of their property line -Report GPA. OUTSTANDING ISSUES It is anticipated that a report will be presented to the GPA Committee in February 1998. 2. Resolution C-682-96, September 16 1996 -Correspondence from Donna Robins, Clarke Museum -Proposed new policy for long term, planned funding (Presently awaiting response from Museum). A report will be presented in October 1997. P...~a~®a.~.~~.E 12 5 5 3. Resolution C-699-96, September 16 1996 -Correspondence from W.F. Hicks, Goodyear re swimming and/or diving in the area of Bowmanville Creek which has been dredged. A report will be presented in October 1997. 4. Resolution GPA-488-96, September 23 1996 -Implementation of a retirement and long-term service policy. Report CD-34-97 referred back to staff July 7 1997. A report will be presented in October 1997. 5. Resolution C-18-97, January 13, 1997 -Correspondence from Suzanne Barrett re securing land in the Bond Head Bluffs area. It is anticipated that a report will be presented to the GPA Committee in February 1998. 6. Resolution GPA-89-97, February 17 1997 -Examine and make recommendations pertaining to a safer entry onto Prestonvale Road from the Old Kingston Road. It is anticipated that a report will be presented to the GPA Committee in December 1997. 7. Resolution GPA-130-97, March 6 1997 -Grant application of Tyrone Community Centre Expansion Committee -Tabled to allow for meeting to review expansion plan. This item has been referred to the 1998 budget. 8. Resolution GPA-163-97, March 6 1997 and C-444-97, June 9 1997 -Report WD- 18-97 -Tabled for further report following discussions with Tyrone Athletic Association. Correspondence from Frank Simpson and Neal Smith re meeting of April 30 1997. This item has been referred to the 1998 budget. 9. ResolutionGPA-196-97,March 171997-ReportTR-16-97-Advertising of Tenders - tabled to allow staff to report on associated costs to potential bidders. A report will be presented to the GPA Committee in October 1997. 1Z~6 10. Resolution C-449-97, June 9 1997 -Correspondence from Ken Ranney re approaching oil crisis -Determine whether the MOEE shares these concerns. It is anticipated that a report will be presented to the GPA Committee in January 1998. 11. Resolution C-458-97, June 9 1997 -Delegation of Kevin Holmes re drainage of property located at Hancock Road and Highway #2 -Tomina. A report will be presented to the GPA Committee in October 1997. 12. Resolution C-528-97, July 71997 -Petition from J.W. Shore re excessive speeding on the northern section of Robert Adams Drive, Courtice. It is anticipated that a report will be presented to the GPA Committee in January 1998. 13. Resolution C-529-97, July 7 1997 - Correspondence from Ron Levy - consideration of the appointment of a WRW Team. 14. Resolution C-555-97, July 7 1997 -Staff initiate process to amend the zoning by- law to expand the list of permitted uses for agricultural business. 15. Resolution C-565-97, August 18 1997 -Correspondence from Diane Cary re crossing guard at the intersection of Mearns Avenue and Soper Creek Drive, Bowmanville. 16. Resolution GPA-484-97, September 8 1997 -Staff investigate and report on designation of the area from the eastern edge of the Bowmanville Zoo property to the western edge of the BIA area as a Tourist Area. 17. Resolution GPA-503-97, September 8 1997 -Delegation of Wayne Bolahood re storm water management requirements placed on Quantum Homes by CLOCA. 18. Resolution C-600-97, September 15 1997 -Correspondence from David Clark, Clarington Hydro-Electric commission requesting audit services for the year ending 1998 be tendered. 19. Resolution C-611-97, September 15 1997 -Correspondence from Chuck Geale, Tree Canada Foundation advising that the municipality qualifies for the Green Streets Canada Program. 12 ::} 7 20. Resolution C-614-97, September 15 1997 -Correspondence from Federation of Canadian Municipalities re telecommunications companies access to municipal rights-of-way. 21. Resolution C-620-97, September 15 1997 -Delegation of Barbara Houghton and Stuart Kramer re traffic calming efforts on Old Scugog Road. It is recommenced that this report be received for information.
