THAT Administrator's report ADMIN. 27-97 be received for information. BACKGROUND: During the course o1; the 1997 budget process, the Chief Administrative Officer was requested to report quarterly on the outstanding issues to be presented to Council. In that regard, we are presenting the following: 1. Resolution C-486-94, July 18 1994, Correspondence from Bill and Debra Waddell and neighbours requesting to purchase the property immediately past the rear of their property line. Over the past few years, staff has met with residents, including Mr. sad Mrs. YPaddell, who are presently encroaching on Municipal properties, is as attempt to establish acme type of policy is this regard. A detailed report will be presented to Council in the Fa11 of 1997. 2. Resolution C-503-96, June 10 1996, Correspondence from John O'Toole regarding Workfare Program. The Workfare Program will be monitored and a report will be prepared once there is some activity in the area of Clarington. 3. Resolution C-6e2-96, September 16 1996, Correspondence from Donna Robins, Clarke Museum references a proposed new policy for long term, .planned funding. The Treasurer is presently awaiting a response from the ffius avm and it is anticipated that a report will be presented to Council in July 1997. 4. Resolution #C-699-96, September 16 1996, Correspondence from W. F. Hicks, Goodyear re swimming and/or diving in the area of Bowmanville Creek which has been dredged. The Chief Administrative Officer will address this issue over the summer months. Advertising of Tenders - Tabled to allow staff to report on associated costs to potential bidders. Treasury will prepare a report for September 1997. 15. Resolutions #C-285,6-97, April 14 1997, Possibility of negotiating an easement on Cove Road, possibly of negotiation an easement on the Ontario Hydro Corridor to build a berm - Report GPA. This is beiag dealt with in conjunctioa with St. Marys Cement, Ontario Hydro, and the Waterfront Regeneration Trust reports and will be before Council in September 1997. 16. Resolutions #C-366-7-97, May 12 1997, Correspondence items regarding the extension of the Oshawa Transit Commission bus service into Courtice. Public Works will be reviewing bus service. It is anticipated that a report will be presented to Council in September 1997. 17. Resolution #C-403-97, May 26 1997, Correspondence from Karen Jones - Stop signs on Edward Street and additional parking areas in municipal parks. Public Works staff will report in September 1997. 18. Resolution #C-419-97, May 26 1997, Delegation of Viv Woolford - Dangerous Dogs The Clerk will be preparing a report and by-laws for July 7 1997 GPA meeting. 19. Resolution #C-424-97, May 26 1997, Keeping of pigeons in urban areas. Clerk discussing matter with Town Solicitor. A report will be presented to Council in September 1997.
