2.2 Exalanation of Higher IIsage
in considering the previous year's (1995) dust complaints,
staff decided to increase the application rate from the
regular rate of 1.3 litres per square metre to the medium rate
of 1.8 litres per square metre near many homes. It was
considered that this heavier application would improve dust
control, reduce future dust complaints and reduce the
requirement for later applications of flake calcium. The
three locations left to complete are the Darlington-Manvers
Townline Road, a new section on Cochrane Road and a section of
Old Scugog Road in Enniskillen prior to a hi-float
application. One load of 11,360 litres was also used for ball
diamonds.
