Sims Resolution #C-1381-81 Moved by Councillor Hubbard, seconded by Councillor Hamre THAT Council convene in Committee of the Whole "CARRIED" Resolution #C-1382-81 Moved by Councillor Woodyard, seconded by Councillor Hubbard THAT the personnel matter be considered "In Camera". "CARRIED" Resolution #C-1383-81 Moved by Councillor Cowman, seconded by Councillor Taylor THAT the meeting recess until 2:00 p.m. "CARRIED" Meeting reconvened "In Camera" at 2:15 p.m. Resolution #C-1384-81 Moved by Councillor Cowman, seconded by Councillor Taylor THAT the Town Solicitor be authorized to complete negotiations with Messers. Dunham and Ashton in accordance with the terms outlined by the Solicitor. . . . Dunham and Ashton make their presentation to Council. "CARRIED" Resolution #C-1386-81 Moved by Councillor Taylor, seconded by Councillor Woodyard THAT the meeting be adjourned at 4:I5 p.m., and reconvene at the Call of the Chair, preferably 9:30 a.m., Monday, November 30, 1981. "CARRIED" Meeting reconvened "In Camera" at 9:45 a.m., Monday, November 30, 1981, by His Worship Mayor Rickard. Mr. William Livingstone, Solicitor representing Messrs. Dunham and Ashton, made a submission to Council on behalf of his clients. following which a discussion ensued. "MOTION LOST" Resolution #C-1389-81 Moved by Councillor Cowman, seconded by Councillor Taylor THAT the Town Solicitor be authorized to complete negotiations with Messrs. Dunham and Ashton in accordance with the terms outlined by the Solicitor. "MOTION LOST" . . . Council Minutes Adjournment - 3 - November 27, 1981 November 30, 1981 Resolution #C-1390-81 Moved by Councillor Hubbard, seconded by Councillor Cowman THAT the meeting be adjourned at 1:05 p.m., and reconvene at the call of the Chair, preferrably 9:30 p.m., Monday, November 30, 1981. "CARRIED" Meeting reconvened "In Camera" at 9:35 p.m., Monday, November 30, 1981, by His Worship Mayor Rickard. Resolution #C-1391-81 Moved by Councillor Hubbard, seconded by Councillor Taylor THAT the Town Solicitor be authorized to complete negotiations with Mr. Dunham and Mr. Ashton in accordance with the terms outlined by the Solicitor, and further that the settlement, as set out by the Solicitor, be paid out of the Administrative Improvement Reserve Fund. The Chair ruled that the motion was substantially the same motion as had been considered earlier and that the motion was out of order. The Chair's ruling on the motion was challenged by Councillor Cowman. The ruling of the Chair was not upheld. The vote was 4 to 2 in support of the challenge.
