Minutes of a special meeting of Council
held on Monday, October 26th 1981, at
1:00 p.m., in Court Room #2
Present were: Mayor Garnet B. Rickard
Councillor Ann Cowman
Councillor Diane Hamre
Councillor Marie Hubbard
Councillor Bruce Taylor
Councillor Edward R. Woodyard
Town Clerk, David W. Oakes
Absent: Councillor Maurice Prout
Also Present: Administrator, D. N. Smith
Director of Public Works, J. Dunham
D/Director of Public Works, D. Gray
Purchasing Agent, Public Works, Wm. Ashton
Resolution #C-1250-81
Moved by Councillor Woodyard, seconded by Councillor Hubbard
THAT Council convene in "Committee of the Whole"
to receive and consider the Administrator's verbal
report relating to personnel matters in the Public
Works Department.
"CARRIED"

Moved by Councillor Hubbard, seconded by Councillor Taylor
THAT the Administrator's verbal report be
received and considered "In Camera".
"CARRIED"
Mr. D. N. Smith, Town Administrator, submitted
a verbal report with respect to a personnel matter
in the Public Works Department.
Mr. Smith also distributed the following items
of correspondence to the members of Council in
attendance:
1. Communication dated October 16 1981, from
Mr. James C. Brown (to Mr. D. Smith)
2. Communication dated October 20 1981, from
Mr. David Sims, Town Solicitor (to Mr. D. Smith)

At the conclusion of the meeting all documents noted
herein were returned to Mr. Smith.
His Worship Mayor Garnet B. Rickard gave all members of
Council in attendance notice of the calling of a
special meeting of Council to be held on Wednesday,
October 28, 1981, at 8:30 a.m., in Court Room #2.

THAT Council rise from "In Camera"

THAT the Committee rise from Committee of the Whole.

THAT the meeting be adjourned at 1:44 p.m.
