THAT the report from Mayor Garnet B. Rickard dated July 20 1981
respecting the appointment of Ms Kathryn A. Campbell as
Municipal Treasurer be received and the recommendation endorsed.

THAT the vendors request that the Town of Newcastle assume
responsibility for the property taxes due and owing on the
land at closing be not approved.

Resolution #C-836-81
Moved by Councillor Hamre, seconded by Councillor Hubbard
THAT the recommendation contained in the Clerk's report
dated July 20 1981 be approved as follows:
That the Clerk's report dated July 20th 1981 be approved;
and that the A9reement of Purchase and Sale dated July 6th 1981
respecting the sale of 6.4+ acres of land being Part Lot H,
Reid's Plan, Village of Burketon, and part of Lot 20, Concession
10, Geographic Township of Darlington, for the sum of $27,500.00
be accepted;
and that the Mayor and Clerk be authorized to execute the Agreement
of Purchase and Sale on behalf of the Town of Newcastle;
and that the Solicitor be directed to proceed with the purchase
of the subject lands on behalf of the Town of Newcastle;
and further that the purchase price and all related costs
be charged to the Park Development Reserve Account.
