"CARRIED!! . . . . . Council Minutes Traffic to Hale's Dump Site West Beach Delegation Mrs. McLean re West Beach Randy Cole Drainage Zion/Taunton Road - 2 - July 13, 1981 Mrs. Vickery presented a petition to Council to take immediate action to reroute trucks going to the Hale Dump Site, from 1brgan' s Corners Road. The petition contained approximately 94 signatures of residents on the 3rd and 4th Lines of Clarke and Morgan's Corners Road. The petition cited the speed of the trucks and the nunbers of them using the roads, the noise frcm the trucks hitting holes in the road, all hours of the day and night, Saturdays and at times, on Sundays, and the litter which came from the trucks. She played a tape to illustrate the noise of the trucks and passed around a box containing litter, such as glass ,nails , bolts etc which she had picked up at her entranceway. Mr. Alf Perrin and Mr. Wes Stark also reiterated the concerns expressed by Mrs. Vickery and asked that the trucks be rerouted. "CARRIED" Resolution #C-767-8l Moved by Councillor Cov.man, seconded by Councillor Hubbard THAT Mr. Randy Cole be heard relative to Item 5 of the Public Works report. lICARRIED" Mrs. Margaret McLean, 4 West Beach, spoke for Mrs. Jean Butler and other residents of West Beach relative to an article in the local newspaper concerning the condition of West Beach. She said that she was in favour of a Special Garbage Pickup but the residents also had to pick up garbage left by day visitors to the Beach. She stated that there could be 100 to 200 visitors a day. She stated that there was no fence around the park where the children's playground was and cars drove over the park. Mr. Randy Cole spoke to the problem of Drainage at the corner of Taunton Road and Zion Road and Ferner Street. He said that reconstruction done by the Region at the corner of Taunton and Zion Roads had channelled the water onto Ferner Street and through the back yards of the houses. He asked that something be done. . . . . .
