THAT the Minutes of the Hampton Mill Pond Public Meeting
held on May 7 1981 be received for information, and the
matter of the rehabilitation of the Hampton Pond and Mill
Street be referred to the Management Committee for further
input regarding the Town's obligations re financing, planning,
works, community services, and report back to Council.

THAT the report of the Town Clerk dated May 29 1981 respecting
the purchase of a 1981 van for the Handi-Transit program be
approved, and that staff be authorized to issue the necessary
purchase order, provided the subject vehicle meets necessary
specifications.

81-66 being a by-law to amend Restricted Area By-Law Number
79-44, as amended, of the former Village of Newcastle.
81-67 being a by-law to further amend Town of Newcastle By-Law
76-24.
81-68 being a by-law to authorize the entering into an
Agreement with Anton Jukic.
81-69 being a by-law to authorize the entering into an
Agreement with Port Darlington Marina Hotel Ltd.
81-70 being a by-law to amend Restricted Area By-Law Number
1587, as amended, of the former Town of Bowmanville.
81-71 being a by-law to amend Restricted Area By-Law Number
1592, as amended, of the former Township of Clarke.
81-72 being a by-law to raise money to aid in the construction
of drainage works under The Tile Drainage Act 1971.
81-73 being a by-law to stop up and close and authorize the
conveyance of that part of a Lane in Block B and Block C and
that part of the Unnamed Street between Block Band C as well
as that part of Second Street all within Part 2, Plan 10R-861.
81-74 being a by-law to stop up and close and authorize the
conveyance of that part of the road allowance between Lots 6
9nd 7, Conc~ssion 4, according to Plan lOR 1250, Town of Newcastle.

written undertaking to the Town of Newcastle that any
damage to Town roads will be corrected by the contractor.

THAT whereas the Town of Newcastle wishes to investigate the
possibility of using the Registry Office site in Bowmanville
for Senior Citizens' Housing; and
Whereas there are non-profit Housing Groups in the Town that
may receive C.M.H.C. funding in 1982; and
Whereas at least one of the non-profit housing groups has
expressed interest in the Registry Office site;
BE IT NOW RESOLVED THEREFORE that the Town of Newcastle
requests the Region of Durham to take no further action in
respect of the sale of the Registry Office site at this time;
and that no action be taken until further advised by the
Town of Newcastle.
