SUBJECT: By -Law to provide for the licensing and
regulating of places of amusement within the
Town of Newcastle.
Attached for your consideration is the proposed by-law as it was submitted
to the Solicitor for comments. Mr. Sims is of the opinion that it meets
the requirements of the Act and also conforms to the decisions Judges have
made regarding the Municipality's ability to enforce such a by-law.
We would respectfully recommend that the by-law be forwarded to Council
for consideration.
