Chairman M. Lover THAT Recommendation 48 be amended to read as follows: "That requests for annual grants from the Town to the local hall boards be considered only when those boards submit detailed capital works, maintenance and operating cost budgets to the NCSPB." Ferguson THAT Recommendation 57 be amended to read as follows: "That modern lighting systems be considered in the future at the Soper Creek Baseball diamond and at the Memorial Park North softball diamond in order to increase the utility of these facilities for scheduling of competitive teams." Tomlinson THAT Recommendation 58 be adopted with amendments to read as follows: "That the NCSPB attempt to interest service clubs or other organizations from the Newcastle Village area to participate in a joint venture to provide a lighted ball diamond in Newcastle Village by the mid -point of the planning period (1985)." Stapleton, seconded by B. Ferguson THAT Recommendation 65 be adopted ... (vote held for consideration of CSB -124-84) as amended. CARRIED Resolution CSB -124-84 Move by N. Rivers, seconded by G. Degroot Motion to amend motion made in Resolution CSB -123-84) THAT the words "monitored against the population growth in the Courtice area" be amended with the following to be substituted: "monitored against the general population growth in the Town of Newcastle ...". CARRIED Resolution CSB -125-84 Moved by L. Lover, seconded by G. Degroot THAT Recomendation 66 in the Master Plan be adopted. (Vote held for consideration of Resolution CSB -126-84.) Stapleton Motion to amend motion made in Resolution CSB -125-85 THAT Recommendation 66 be amended by adding the following words: "providing the proper funding can be arranged." Vote called for by G. Degroot DEFEATED Resolution CSB -127-84 Moved by L. Lover, seconded by G. Degroot THAT the Planning Board send a letter of thanks to the Museum Board (for their presentation), and notify same that we have adopted Recommendation 66 with copy to Council. CARRIED Resolution CSB -128-84 Moved by L. Lover, seconded by N. Rivers THAT Recommendation 67 in the Master Plan be adopted. CARRIED Resolution CSB -129-84 Moved by G. Degroot, seconded by W. Humber THAT Recommendations 68, 69, 70, 71, 72, 73, and 74 be tabled for further discussion. CARRIED Resolution CSB -130-84 Moved by G. Degroot, seconded by L. Lover THAT we reconsider the motions previously decided upon in Resolutions CSB -95 and 96-84 concerning Recommendation 40 of the Master Plan. CARRIED page 6 November 7, 1984 Resolution CSB -131-84 Moved by G. Degroot, seconded by L. Lover THAT Recommendation 40 be amended to original wording in the Master Plan, as follows: "That the NCSPB assist groups interested in the development of new resources or redevelopment of existing facilities and resources. The NCSPB should provide technical, financial and organizational expertise as required as well as co-ordinating applications for available grants and funding assistance." Tomlinson THAT we establish a three person sub -committee to deal with the soccer questions and report their findings at the next NCSPB meeting. CARRIED Resolution CSB -133-84 Moved by G. Degroot, seconded by W. Humber THAT B. Fleming, B. Tomlinson, and L. Lover be designated as the sub -committee to report as set out above. CARRIED Resolution CSB -134-84 Moved by G. Degroot, seconded by N. Rivers THAT the Planning Board send written notification to M. Clark that the Wednesday night meetings cannot be changed to an alternate night.
