Mayor Rickard and Members of Council: -
The following is a report of a meeting of the Community Services Committee held
on January 19, 1976 and the following recommendations to Council:
1. Membership Fees for 1976
That the following memberships be renewed for 1976 -
Canadian Parks and Recreation Association - $30.00
Ontario Municipal Recreation Association - $35.00
2. Space at Visual Arts Centre
That they concur with the Recreation Director's recommendation that the Recreation
Department continue to use the space at the Visual Ants Centre until other steps
are taken.
3. Public Meeting re Newcastle Community Hall Board
That a Public Meeting be held in the Village of Newcastle on Monday, February 16,
1976 for the purpose of electing two members to the Newcastle Commuiity Hall Board
and that the meeting be advertised in the Newcastle Reporter.
Volunteer Fireman Application
That they concur with the request of Fire Chief Hayman to accept the application
of Robert A. Smith as a Volunteer Fireman.
5. Bell Canada Telephone Districts
That Bell Canada be contacted with regard to realigning their telephone districts
to recognize the Town of Newcastle Boundaries.
