THE CORPORATION OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF CLARINGTON
BY-LAW 2001-007
Being a By-law to appoint Fence Viewers for the Municipality
of Clarington and to repeal By-law 98-4.
WHEREAS Section 2 of the Line Fences Act Chapter L.17, R.S.O., 1990, provides that the
Council of every local municipality shall appoint, by by-law, appoint such number of Fence
Viewers as are required to carry out the provisions of the Act and the by-law shall fix the per
diem remuneration to be paid to the Fence Viewers;
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE MUNICIPALITY
OF CLARINGTON ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. THAT the following persons are hereby appointed as Fence Viewers
for the Municipality of Clarington for a term concurrent with the term of the
appointing Council or until a successor is appointed:
Jack Julicher
Glenn Stapleton
John M. Stewart
Arnot R. Wotten Sr.
2. THAT the remuneration of the Fence Viewers be set in accordance with the
budget allocations approved by Council for this purpose.
3. THAT By-law 98-4 is hereby repealed.
By-law read a first and second time this 15' day of January, 2001.
By-law read a third time and finally passed this 15' day of January, 2001.
