Mayor Rickard and Members of Council: -
The following is a report of the meeting of the Community Services
Committee held on December 2, 1980:
1. Received for Information
The following were received for information:
(a) Letter of Appreciation from London Life Insurance Company.
(b) Monthly Fire Report for October 1980.
(c) Letter of Appreciation from Eastview Boys and Girls Club.
(d) Letter from Clarke Cemetery Board relative to removal of
markers, Old Orono Cemetery.
2. Insurance - Volunteer Firemen
The Town Manager's report TM -56-80, relative to Insurance for Volunteer
Firemen was received for information and it was requested that the section
in the Town's Insurance Policy covering this matter be quoted to Council.
3. Program/Aquatic Supervisor and Labourers
The following recommendation in report TM -63-80 was recommended to Council
for adoption:
1. The Director of Community Services be authorized to advertise
the position of Program/Aquatic Supervisor immediately.
2. The Director of Community Services be authorized to post the
advertisement for the position of two labourers, Community
Services, immediately, in order to have these persons on hand
prior to the contractor completing the project.
4. Fire Department Budget
The Fire Chief's report FC -13-80 relative to 1980 Fire Department
Budget was received for information.
