REPORT #1
Mayor Rickard and Members of Council: -
The following is a report of the meeting of the Community Services Committee
held on October 27, 1980:
1. Budget Performance
The Treasurer's report of budget performance July 31, and August 31, 1980 was
received for information.
2. Appointments to Boards and Commissions
The Town Manager's report relative to appointments to Board and Commissions
was referred to the inaugural meeting of the new council for appropriate action.
3. September Fire Report
The Fire Report for September, 1980 was received for information.
4. Well - M. J. Hobbs School - Darlington Sports Centre
It was recommended to Council that the Town confirm in writing that it agrees
to accept the responsibility of the costs to supply water to the school in the
event that the water supply is depleted by the installation of the new pump.
5. Portable Arc Welder
It was recommended to Council that the tender of Wallace Auto Supply X121-012
complete Welding set, in the amount of $374.50 be accepted providing it can be
accommodated in the budget and the Town Manager advise that the operator situation
is taken care of.
6. Workmens Compensation - Volunteer Firemen
It was recommended to Council that the Town Manager have a report regarding
Workmens Compensation for Volunteer Firemen at the next Council meeting.
7. Agreement - Martin Road Park
It was recommended to Council that the agreement from East Woodbridge Developments
Limited, regarding Martin Road Park, Part Lot 15, Concession 1, attached to the
Director's report, be approved.
