Mayor Rickard and Members of Council: -
The following is a report of a meeting of the Community Services Committee held
on September 29, 1980:
1. Received for Information
(a) Fire Chief's report regarding activities and
advertising for Fire Prevention Week, October 5
to 11, 1980.
(b) 1980 Monthly Fire Report for August.
(c) Letter of Thanks from Glenholme School for donation.
(d) Correspondence from the Newcastle Public Library Board
dated September 22, 1980 relative to Library Facilities
at Courtice School.
2. Secretary to Master Plan Committee
It was recommended to Council that the matter of the appointment of a secretary
to take minutes of the meetings of the Master Plan Committee be referred to the
Town Clerk for implementation and the cost be charged to the Master Plan Budget
for 1980.
