Mayor Rickard and Members of Council; -
The following is a report of the meeting of the Community Services
Committee held on September 18, 1979.
1. Tariff of Rates - Bowmanville and Bond Head Cemeteries
It was recommended to Council that the attached list of Tariff of Rates
for Bowmanville and Bond Head Cemeteries be adopted.
2. Aluminum Siding - Fire Hall 112
It was recommended to Council that the quotation of Peter Sutherland Aluminum
Products in the amount of $4,760. for aluminum siding for Fire Hall 162, be
accepted, subject to meeting all specifications.
3. Drainage Problems Fire Hall #4
It was recommended to Council that Totten Sims Hubicki Associates be asked
to report on problems with storm drainage around Fire Hall A.
4. Maintenance Fire Truck - Hall 114
It was recommended to Council that Robert Wilson, Volunteer Firefighter
Fire Hall 114, be appointed for maintenance of the fire truck (wash,
gas oil) for the sum of $250. per year.
5. Firefighter - Hall 111
It was recommended to Council that Steven Oke, 14 Wilde Court Bowmanville,
be appointed as a part-time firefighter for Hall 111, Bowmanville, subject
to a medical certificate of fitness and 6 months' probation period.
6. Fee for Late Registrations
It was recommended to Council that a fee of $2.00 per application be charged
for every late registration; this, however, would not affect new residents
of the municipality.
