Mayor Rickard and Members of Council: -
The following is a report of the meeting of the Community Services Committee
held on Friday, August 24th, 1979.
1. Clarke Cemetery Board Appointment
It was recommended to Council that Con. Clarke and Con. Barr
be appointed to the Clarke Cemetery Board under the authority of the
Cemeteries Act.
2. Elliott Memorial Park re: C.L.O.C.A. Development
of Parking Lot
It was recommended to Council that C.L.O.C.A. be asked to provide
parking facilities for the Elliott Memorial Park in Hampton with proper
grading on Mill Street.
3. Use of Upstairs Room Fire Station #4
It was recommended to Council that the Fire Chief's report dated
August 23rd, 1979, be received for information and that this information
be adopted until a review of the building has been completed and a.report
stating the cost estimate of the community facilities independent of the
Fire Department be brought back to this Committee for consideration.
4. Fire Prevention Week
It was recommended to Council that the Fire Chief's report dated
August 23rd, 1979, to proclaim Fire Prevention Week from October 7th to
13th, 1979, be advertised in the local papers.
5. Fire Chief's Quarterly Meeting
It was recommended to Council that the Fire Chief's report dated
August 23rd, 1979, to host the Fire Chief's Quarterly meeting, be adopted.
