HomeMy WebLinkAbout1979-04-17 Report 3REPORT NO. 3 Mayor Rickard and Members of Council: - The following is a report of the meeting of the Community Services Committee held on April 17, 1979 at 9:30 a.m. 1. Kawartha Gun Dog Club Field Trials It was recommended to Council that the request of the Kawartha Gun Dog Club to conduct English Springer Field Trials at the Kendal Recreation Area on the week- ends of April 21st and 22nd and November 3rd and 4th, 1979, be granted. 2. Splash Committee It was recommended to Council that relative to a verbal request from Chairman Prout the "SPLASH" Committee be advised that Mr. Al Strike be allowed to sit in when Council is discussing a new agreement relative to the proposed swimming pool complex at the Bowmanville High School. 3. Library Parking It was recommended to Council that 4 parking spaces be allocated opposite the library for 15 minute parking for library only. 4. Spring & Summer Fee Schedules It was recommended to Council that the Deputy Director of Community Services' - Spring and Summer Fee Schedule be endorsed. 5. Opening Date for Municipal Pools It was recommended to Council that the Official 1979 Opening date for Municipal pools in Orono, Newcastle Village and Bowmanville be set for Saturday, June 30, 1979. 6. Pools - Schedule of Hours It was recommended to Council that the Schedule of Hours for Municipal Swimming Pools, as presented by the Deputy Director of Community Services, be endorsed. 7. Official Opening Courtice Fire Station #4 It was recommended to Council that the Committee arranging for the Official Opening of the Fire Hall #4 be given power to act relative to programme printing, invitations, refreshments, dignitaries, etc. 8. Mutual Aid Meeting, May 25, 1979 It was recommended to Council that the Fire Chief be authorized to make the usual arrangements for hospitality at the Mutual Aid Meeting hosted by the Town on May 25/79.
