D. Biersteker Resignation - Fire Hall #2 It was recommended that the Chairman, in conjunction with the Fire Chief, be authorized to obtain an appropriate recognition for D. Biersteker, former Captain at Fire Hall X12. 2. Recreation Activities - Fall and Winter Fee Structure The following Fall & Winter Fee Structure was recommend" to Eouncil.acith the amendment that those persons using private lessons in the Village of Newcastle be reimbursed, intermediates - $10. and Seniors - $15. for each registration. Baton & Tap Figure Skating - Beginners - Juniors - Intermediates - Seniors Learn to Skate Power Skating - 10 weeks Skating Carnival - Admission Hockey - 20 weeks Adult Swimming .Jamboree - Admission 3. Snow Fence - Newcastle Village Park $15.00 $25.00 $35.00 $50.00 $60.00 $ 2.00 $20.00 $ 2.00/$1.00 $50.00 $18.00 $ 2.00/.50c It was recommended to Council that the Newcastle Lakers Ball Team be asked to return the snow fence from the Village Park which had been erected without authorization from the Town, in order to facilitate maintenance. 4. Water Pipes - Bowmanville Cemetery It was recommended to Council that the Staff be authorized to instal new water pipes and water supply system in the Bowmanville Cemetery. 5. Achievement Awards It was recommended to Council that the Director of Community Services be authorized to purchase 200 medallions @ $2.75 each from Hooper's Trophy Centre, to be given out by the Town as achievement Awards. Competitive Swimming Program It was recommended to Council that they concur with the report of the Deputy Director of Community Services regarding the formation of a Competitive Swimming Program with a registration fee of $15.00 for the summer. 7. Parks Reserve Fund It was recommended to Council that the Minister o` Housing be asked for authority to transfer up to $5,000. from the Parks Fund for maintenance of Parks. 3. Water Service Newcastle Community Hall It was recommended to Council that the Town Manager be authorized to sign the necessary papers at the Region so that a new water service can be installed at the Newcastle Community Hall.
