HomeMy WebLinkAbout1978-01-09 ReportReport No. 1 Mayor Rickard and Members of Council: - The following is a 'report of the Community Services Committee held on January 9, 1978: 1 Lighting Hampton Park Resolution #CS -275-77 'that it be recommended to Council that the Town pay for the energy cost associated with lighting in Hampton park area as agreed in a previous meet i.g and C.L.O.C.A, and Ontario Hydro be notified to this effect' was again forwarded to Council with the added information that this cost.is area rated to Hampton. 2. Jaycees Winter Carrival It was recommended :o Council that they concur with the request of the Bowmanville Jaycees to conduct a Winter Carnival at Soper Creek Park on February 4, 1978. 3. Teen Dances - Brownsdale Community Centre It was reco*-mended to Council that Brownsdale Community Centre be informed that the Committee supports in principle Teen Dances at their Community Centre but feel that the dances should be self-supporting but the Town will pick up the shortfall of two more dances and the situation be reviewed at that time, 4. B.M.H.A. Credit for Ice Time It was recommended to CoLnicil that in response to a letter from the B.M.H.A, regarding the condition o:' the ice for their Skate-A-Thon, they be allowed a credit of $50, towards the cost of their ice time.
