Mayor Rickard and Members of Council; -
The following is a report of a meeting of the Community Services Committee
held on October 24, 1977:
1. Hampton Pond Park
Mr. Bob Allin, General Manager of the Central Lake Ontario Conservation
Authority presented a Site Plan for changes to Hampton Pond Park which
are being carried out by the Authority and it was recommended to Council
that they be given permission to change the two lights in Hampton Park
to Mercury Vapour provided the cost is taken from their budget.
2. Outdoor Rink - Newcastle
It was recommended to Council that the Lions Club in the Village of
Newcastle be granted permission to flood the tennis courts and make
an outdoor rink and use the swimming pool building as a dressing room,
if this can be accommodated to the satisfaction of the Director of
Parks and Recreation,
3. Santa Claus Parade Floats
It was recommended to Council that the Santa Claus Parade Committee be
granted permission to use the Park Maintenance Garage to prepare floats.
