Mayor Rickard and Members of Council: -
The following is a report of a meeting of the Community Services Committee held
on Monday, October 3, 1977 at 1:15 p.m.:
I. Recreation Budget
It was recommended to Council that $900, be transferred from 'repairs to
2amboni' in the Recre-.tion Budget, to thase of nets and frames for
Bowmanville Arena. (amount budgeted $6,000., amount spent, approximately
$600.)
2. City of Peterborough - re 1981 Canada Games
It was recommended to Council that letters be sent to the Honourable
Robert Welch, Minister of Culture and Recreation for Ontario and the
Honourable Iona Campagnolo, Minister of State for Fitness and Amateur
Sport supporting the bid of the City of Peterborough to obtain the 1981
Canada Games for their City.
3. Orono Town Hall By-law
It was recommended to Council that Resolution #C-77-486 (by-law re Orono
Town Hail) be lifted from the table.
