Minutes of a Special Meeting of the Community Services
Committee to discuss Budgets, held on Tuesday, March 15,
1977, at 7 p.m. in the Bowmanville Committee Room.

Call Present were; Councillor Alfred Gray, Chairman
Councillor D. W. Allin, Member
Mayor G. B. Rickard, Member - at 7;45 p.m.
Deputy Cleric, G. Cray, Secretary
Absent: Councillor .i. W. Holliday, Member
Visual A delegation from the Visual .Arts Association, consisting of
Arts Mr. Bill Humber, Dr. J. Higginson, Mr. and Mrs. Bickell appeared
Association before the Committee. The President, Mr. Humber, spoke to the
Committee regarding their activities and their proposed Budget
for 1977. The Secretary was asked to check on the status of the
Agreement between the Town and the Visual Arts Association re the
use of the Cream of Barley Mill. The Chairman and the Director
of Parks and Recreation made arrangements to tour the 'building_
before the next Community Services Meeting.
Recreation The Director of Parks and Recreation and the Arena Manager
Budget were also present. The Revised Recreation Budget was discussed
at.length.

Moved by Mayor Rickard, seconded by Con. Allin
Zamboni THAT the Chairman check with the Works Committee whether the
Works Mechanic could look over the Zamboni at the Bowmanville
Arena to determine what repairs were needed.
