The following is a report of a meeting of the Couuunity Services Committee held
on Tuesday, February 22, 1977
1. Clarke Cemetery Board
The following appointments to the Clarke Cemetery Board were recommended to
Councils
Earl Walkey
A. Thompson
D. Vinkle
Kenneth Lyall.
2. Darlington Cemetery Lpard
It was recommended to Council that the name of Mr. H. C. =uir, which was
inadvertently omitted from the Darlington Cemetery Board be added to that
Board.
3. Volunteer Firemen. Replacements •- Hall #2
It was recommended to Council that they concur *-pith Chief Hayman's recommendation
that Donald Holmes and Pfiiton Potter be hired as Volunteer Firemen at Hall #2
Village of Newcastle, subject to satisfactory medical reports, to replace
Harold Couch who has retired and A. Bourgeois who has resigned.
M ! 4. Caretaker - Orono Town ball
It was recommended to Council that they accept the resignation of Mr. A. Ritchie
as caretaker of the Orono Town Hall.
5. Repairs - Orono Tocm hall
It was recommended to Council that the repairs at the Orono Town Hall, as
outlined in the Fire Chief's report, be carried out immediately. Mr. Fanning
was asked to obtain estimates on the cost.
b. Sale of Dog Tags Door to Door
It was recommended that Resolution #CS -42-77 authorizing Mr. Fredriksson to
sell dog tags dour to door in the Town of Newcastle be rescinded.
7. Fire System - Bowmanville Museur:.
It was recommended that Fire Chief Hayman be authorized to work with Mr. Bagnell
regarding the fire alarm system at the Bowmanville Nuseum.
