Mayor Rickard and Members of Conncil;-
The following recommendations to Council were made at a meeting of the
Community Services held on June 16, 1975;
1. Canvass for Dos Tags
That four students be hired to canvass the Town of Newcastle for Dog tags.
2. Resolution re Dog Licencing
That the Resolution from the City of Sudbury regarding amendments to the
Dog Licensing and Livestock and Poultry Protection Act be supported.
3. Pethick's Water Bill
That Mr. Pethick's bill for water for the Darlington Sports Centre in the
amount of $7,335. be paid.
4. Tendering for Canteens
That no action be taken re tendering of Canteens in the Bowmanville and
Darlington Arenas. (Council Resolution #C-599-75)
5. Payment to Miss Cuttell
That Miss A. Cuttell be paid $200. for bookings at Orono Park during 1974.
4. Use of Park Facilities
That Park facilities be extended free to children under the age of 12,
depending on reservations in the Park.
7. Repairs at Orono Booth
That the Director of (recreation take the necessary steps to rectify the
electrical problems at the Booth at Orono Park.
8. May Fire Report
That the May report of the Fire Department (attached) be received for
information.
9. Burning By-law
That Burning By-law #75-33 be published in the local papers.
10. That By-laws creating Community Recreation Centres at the following locations
be drawn up for the Council Meetings
Darlington Sports Centre
Brownsdale Recreation Centre
Zion Community Centre
Newcastle Lions Swimming Pool
Drop -In Centre
Waverly Road Park
Soper Creek Park.
