Mayor Rickard and Members of Council: -
The following recommendations to Council were made at a meeting of the Community
Services Committee on May 20, 1975:
1. Newcastle Social Planning Council
1'liat the Newcastle Social Planning Council be cuuuue.•ndod for fila# r work and
initiative, that their programmes be supported and that Councillor. Cowman
be appointed as liaison member of Couccil to attend the Social Planning
meetings when possible.
1. Newcastle Lions Swimming Pool
That the cheque for $40,000. presented by the Newcastle Lions towards the
financing of the Swimming Pool be acknowledged and the necessary agreement:
be signed between Council and the Newcastle Lions Club.
3. Goal Posts Darlington Sports Centre
That the Recreation Director be authorized to have the goal post sockets
changed by Canadian Ice ?Machine at an estimated cost of $400.
Lawn Mower -- Darlington Sports Centre
That a lawn mower be purchased for the Darlington Sports Centre at an
estimated cost of $140.
