It. J.' Hobbs Badminton Tournament 4r, It was recommended to Council that there be no rental fee at the Darlington Sports s; Centre re M. J. Hobbs School Badminton 'tournament on May 12th and May 18th. t 3. M J Hot- Drama Play #I, It was recommended to Council that a flat rental fee of $200. be charged to the M. J. Hobbs School for their Play on June 14, 15, 16 and 17, 1976, from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m., at the Darlington Sports Centre. r 4. playground Schedule It was recommended that the Recreation Director's Schedules of Playgrounds for 1976 be approved. 5. Revised Bu eta - Arena Canteens It was recommended that the revised revenue budget for the canteens in the Arenas, as presented by the Treasurer, be accepted. Meeti a with Works Department The Chairman of the Community Services Committee and the Director of Recreation were asked to request a meeting with the Chairman of Public Works and the Director of Public Works to develop closer liaison on maintenance of Public Property. 7. Soper Creek Park-_ It was recommended that a Committee composed of the Chairman of the Community Services Committee, the Director of Recreation, a representative of C.L.O.C.A. Miss Forrest of the Planning Department and a representative of the Jaycees come up with an overall plan of parks in the.. Toon, starting with the Soper Creek Park, and the Committee consult with the Regional Planning Department. g. GasolinTanks It was recommended that Council concur with the Fire Chief's report that the gasoline storage tanks at Fire Hall #2 'R.r:r:emoved by Shell Oil at no cost to the Town. 9.Volun�ireman - Pire Hall 112 It was recommended to Council that tine r�T)plication of Jeffery Alldread of the village of Newcastle for volunteer F xe-mmt at Fire Hall 42, be accepted. Report No. 1 k � - 2 10, Volunteer Firemen- Ball 113, Orono It'was recommended to Council that they concur with the following report of the tire'Chief,for Fire Mall d3, Orono. 1. Captain Jack Mercer be promoted to Deputy Chief to replace former Deputy Chief Gordon Watson who retired. 2. Firemen Reid Cochrane be promoted to Captain to replace former Captain Jack Mercer, subject to 6 months' probation. 3. Application of James R. Mutton for Volunteer Fireman be accepted - replacement to bring the department back up to strength (18 members) subject to a 6 months' probation period. Respectfully submitted, Ann Cowman.
