He said that the Ministry was supporting the Orono Senior Citizens Project in 8 out of 40 units. Letters from Mr. VanDyk and Mr. J. C. Latchford, R.R.#5, Bowmanville, were presented. These letters opposed the passing of a by-law. G. VanDyk Mr. VanDyk opposed the Committee citing delays in construction starts, costs of financing, architect fees, and the additional cost per unit which would be the result. Mr. Fleischmann Mr. Fleischmann felt the proposed Committee left out a representative of the builders and felt that using one architect would be a problem. If the theme for housing proposed by the architect was not marketable it would cause a problem. He also felt there would be added cost. Mr. Glieberman Mr. Glieberman felt the proposal would create a problem to the industry, an added cost to the purchaser, increased cost to the Municipality for staff and the possibility of abuse.
