Recreation Advisory Committee March 31, 1975.
Minutes of a meeting of the Town of Newcastle
Recreation Advisory Committee and the Community
Services Committee held on March 31, 1975, at 7:30
p.m. in the Committee Room of the Bowmanville Town
Hall.
Roll Present were: Councillor D. W. A11in, Chairman

Mayor G. B. Rickard, Member

Absent were:
Adoption of Minutes
Use of Schools

Moved by H. Webster, seconded by L. Coverley
That the minutes of meeting of September 26, 1974,
be adopted.
"Carried"
Mr. Fanning outlined the programs presently carried out
under the Department of Recreation.
Moved by G. Herron, seconded by L. Coverley
That the Committee, through Council, approach the School
Board regarding the use of the Courtice High School
grounds for softball.
"Carried"
Recreation Advisory Committee - 2 - March 31, 1975.
Hockey Rules Committee
Moved by Mayor Rickard, seconded by Councillor Tink
That the following Hockey Rules Committee be appointed to
handle grievances: D. Stark, G. Dallas, W. Brunt, H. Webster,
G. Herron and L. Coverley.
"Carried"
Liaison Committee - School Board and Municipality
Moved by G. Dallas, seconded by D. Stark
That it be recommended to Council that T. A. Fanning, Wm. Brunt
and H. Webster be appointed a Committee to act as liaison
between the School Board and the Municipality and that the
Community Services Committee be ex officio members of this
Committee. "Carried"
Mayor Rickard moved, seconded by Councillor Tink that a vote
of thanks be extended to the members of the Committee for
their attendance at the meeting.
Adjournment
Moved by H. Webster, seconded by Wm. Brunt
that the meeting adjourn at 9:45 p.m..
