Mayor Rickard and Members of Council: -
The following recommendations to Council were made at a meeting of the Community
Services CommittEe held on Monday, January 6, 1975 at the Bowmanville Committee
Room:
Re Darlington Sports Centre
1. Purchase of Hockey equipment
That they agree in principle with the purchase of Hockey equipment for
the Arena at a cost of approximately $2,000. and Mr. Panning and Chairman.
Ailin be given power to act.
2. That a Coca Cola Machine be installed for a one month's trial. (the
cost of the machine is $900.)
3, That 6 jackets at a total cost of approximately $200. be purchased for
use by the Ice Patrol at the Bowmanville and Darlington Arenas.
4. That the use of the Score Board be used only for organized leagues
with a trained operator and the use of the Board by miscellaneous groups
be at the discretion of the Arena Manager.
5. That the Darlington Sports Centre be cpen 24 hours a day, 7 days a week,
as booked, and not be used for sport organized by the Town Recreation
Department on Sunday before 12 noon.
Recreation
6. "Activity News"
That the Recreation Activity News be printed at the Orono Weekly Times
for a period of 3 issues for comparative price purposes and the matter
be reviewed at that time.
7. Zamboni Motor
That Council concur with the purchase of a new motor for the Zamboni
machine at a cost of $1500. and the old motor be disposed of.
