HomeMy WebLinkAbout1980-06-09 ReportREPORT * 7 Mayor Rickard and Members of Council: - The following is a report of the meeting of the Planning and Development Committee held on June 9, 1980: 1. Validation of Title - Hofstede It was recommended to Council that: 1. The application for validation of title, part lot 23 Concession 3, former Township of Darlington, (Jacqueline Hofstede) be approved. 2. On receipt of an undertaking from the applicant to the effect that a warning will be registered on title that the necessary validation by- law be approved by Council. (See By-law 80-76) 2. Rezoning Z -A-3-4-2 - Garbutt - Lot 10, Concession 6, Kendal It was recommended to Council that application for rezoning Z -A-3-4-2 be approved upon the applicant fulfilling the financial requirements of the Regional Municipality of Durham and the Town of Newcastle. 3. Rezoning Z -A-3-12-8 - Village of Newcastle, Vanhaverbeke It was recommended to Council that application for rezoning Z -A-3-12-8, part of lot 1 Block 1, Hanning's Plan for the former Village of Newcastle, being part of lot 28 Concession 1, former Township of Clarke (Edmond Vanhaverbeke) be approved and the attached by-law be forwarded to Council for approval and the Region of Durham be advised of Council's action in respect of the subject application. (See By-law80-77) 4. Hamlet Development Plan for Haydon It was recommended to Council that: 1. Report P-99-80 be received 2. The Hamlet Development Plan for Haydon, included as Attachment 2 to Report P-99-80 be adopted 3. Planning Staff prepare the necessary amendment to By-law 2111, in order to bring it into conformity with the approved Hamlet Development Plan for Haydon 4. The Region of Durham be forwarded a copy of Staff Report P-99-80 and requested to initiate the required amendment to the Darlington Official Plan as contained in Attachment 3 to the said report 5. A copy of the approved hamlet development plan be forwarded to the Ministry of Housing for their information. mm Report #2 5. Rezoning Application Z -A-1-15-9 - Pethick It was recommended to Council that: 1. Application for Rezoning Z -A-1-15-9, part of lot 14, Concession 8, former Township of Darlington, (Clifford Pethick) be approved 2. The attached by-law be forwarded to Council for approval 3. The Region of Durham be advised of Council's action in respect of the subject application. (See By-law 80-78 ) 6. Resident Survey It was recommended to Council that Staff be authorized to proceed with the circulation of the questionnaire attached to Report P-103-80. 7. O.M.B. Hearing By-law 79-111 (Rills of Liberty North) It was recommended to Council that Planning Staff and the Town Solicitor be authorized to represent the Town of Newcastle at the Ontario Municipal Board Hearing to be convened in respect of By-law 79-111. (Subdivision 18T-77123 -Rills of Liberty North) 8. Rezoning Application Z -A-3-10-2 - (McBride) It was recommended to Council that: 1. Report P-105-80 be received for information 2. Application for rezoning Z -A-3-10-2, part of Lot 29, Concession 2, former Township of Clarke (McBride), be denied 3. The applicant and the Region of Durham be notified of the Town's action in this regard. 9. CIP/ICU Conference It was recommended to Council that the Director of Planning and the Long Range Planner be authorized to attend the CIP/ICU National Conference in Kitchener - Waterloo June 22nd to June 26th, 1980.
