TOWN OF NEWCASTLE
Mayor Rickard and Members of Council:
The following Recommendations to Council were made at the Community Services
Committee meetings:
Meeting of March 4, 1974 --
1. Boundaries for Fire Department
That the Committee concur with the Area Fire Chief's recommendations regarding
Boundaries for the Fire Department, and that the people concerned, be notified.

Meeting of March 18, 1974 --
2, Fence Viewers
That .the following be appointed Fence Viewers for the Town of Newcastle for 1974:
Mr. Donald Stainton »
Mro Gerald Shackelton
Mr. John Broome.
3. Warble Fly Inspector
That Mr. Clifford Pethick be appointed Warble Fly Inspector for the Town of
Newcastle for 1974, with authority to order the necessary materials.
4.. Dog Control Officer
That the Dog Control Officer be equipped with a suitable rifle.
5. Appointments to Museum Board
That a By—law be drawn up, setting up a Town of Newcastle Museum Board,
composed. of 7 people, including two members of Council, and that appointments
be made at the next meeting of Council.
6. Appointments to Library Board
That appointments made to the Library Board by the Separate School Board and
the Durham County Board of Education be received and the three appointments
by Council be made at their next meeting.
