HomeMy WebLinkAbout1976-06-28 ReportReport No. 2 Mayor Rickard and Members of Council: The following is a report of a meeting of the Committee of the Whole held at 1:00 p.m. on June 28th, 1976 in the Committee Room at Bowmanville Town Hall, 1. Commencement of Servicine It was recommended that Council concur with the Developers' request to commence work on the services provided that documentary evidence of the Regional Works Department concurrance with the proposed change in the sewage works is received. 2. A.M.O. Labour Relation Service It was recommended to Council that the Town Clerk and Chairman of the Personnel complete the questionnaire and send to A.M.O. 3. Recreation Department Soap Box Derby and Mardi Gras It was recommended that Council concur with the request of the Recreation Department to conduct the Annual Soap Box Derby on August 5th and Mardi Gras on August 17th and that the police be advised. 4. Key for Newcastle Community Hall It was recommended that if Council cannot get a key for the Village of Newcastle Community Hall no further meetings be held in the former Village of Newcastle. j 5. Mrs. Dianne Fernlund leave of Absence It was recommended that Council concur with the request of Mrs. Dianne Fernlund for one weekts leave of absence July 26th - 30th, 1976 without pay. 6. Bowtown Court Development It was recommended that further to Resolution #CkL 303-76 Council will not approve of the request of the Developer until an easement is recorded on Title for the arrangement of the Storm Sewer outfall and the widening of the roadway to twelve feet. 7. Taxi Drivers Licences It was recommended that Council concur with the report of the Deputy Clerk re Taxi Drivers Licences and that licences be issued to Louis William Sytsma, Stephen James Newell and Terry Albert Bond. 8. Development CharUe Levies It was recommended to Council that the letter dated June 23rd, 1976 from the Regional Solicitor regarding Ontario Municipal Board hearing in October 1976 relative to development charge levies be received and that the requests therein be concurred with. i - 2 - Report No. 2 9. Township of Hope Zoning By -Law 1732 It was recommended to Council that By -Law No. 1732 to amend the Zoning By -lacy of the Township of Hope be received for information, 10. Cate at Memorial Park It was recommended to Council that the recommendation of the Director of Public Works to install a gate and baffle in the Memorial Park fence on Liberty Street South be concurred with. 11. Agreement with Milani & Milani re Park Land It was recommended to Council that the Mayor and Clerk be authorized to sign the Agreement with Milani & Milani regarding the Martin Road Park. 12. Sidewalk Sale It was recommended to Council that Councillors Hobbs and Allin and the Town Clerk make the necessary arrangements with the Bowmanville Chamber of Commerce re parking restrictions for the Sidewalk Sale. 1�4.,r.r,r / p},, I,., e�-�:d Respectfully Submitted, Councillor Donald W.
