HomeMy WebLinkAbout1976-03-08 ReportReport No. 3 Mayor Rickard and Members of Council: The following is a Report of a meeting of the Committee of the Whole held at 1:00 p.m, on Monday, March 8th, 1976 in the Committee Room at Bowmanville Town Hall: - 1. MUNICIPAL PLANNING CONSULTANTS It was recommended to Council that the letter dated February 23rd, 1976 from Municipal Planning Consultants be received and that Municipal Planning Consultm is be advised that Council is considerably disturbed of the fact that work was carried out in excess of the $1,600 allocated for Stage 1 of the Newtonville Study and that the remainder of the letter be received for information. 2. PLANNING CON;"ULT"TTS It was recommended to Council that the Townts Planning Consultants be advised not to carryout work unless directly instructed by Council through the Town Clerk and that no instructions be given without a firm price be:ing quoted. 3. BY-LAW re PARKS REQUISITION It was recommended to Council that the By-law recommended by the Planner regarding levy for Parks Purposes be submitted to Council with the amendment that Schedule "A" set the fee for a single lot of record or a single lot created by a single severance at $100. (See By -Law No. 76-13) 4. CITY OF OSHAWA ZONING BY-LAWS It was recommended to Council that the following By -Laws amending the Zoning By -Laws of the City of Oshawa be received for information: - 24 -76, 25-76, 26-76, 29-76. 5. TAXI DRIVERS LICENCES It was recommended to Council that Council concur with the issuing of licences to Mike Pflanzer, Randall Roland Chambers, Terry Lyon and John Booth Galloway. The same having been approved by the Regional Police Department. 6. AUDITORS BILL It was recommended to Council that Deloitte, Haskins & Sells bill in the amount of $1,100 for their review of lot levies be paid. 7. INDUSTRIAL PROPERTY It was recommended to Council that the Confidential Report dated March 3rd, 1976 be concurred with and that the Industrial Committee be given power to act because of the uncertainties of the exact location of the Hydro corridor.
