Mayor Rickard and Members of Council:
The following is a report of a special meeting of the Committee of the Whole
held at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 7th, 1976 in Court Room No. 2:-
1. Village of Newcastle - Liquor Sales
It was recommended to Council that the Town Clerk be requested to have the records
of the Village of Newcastle checked and also check with the Provincial parties
�I involved and have the information with regard to the status of liquor sales in
the former Village of Newcastle placed before Council on February 16th, 1976.
2. Milani & Milani
The proposal of Milani & Milani to build approximately 2,000 units west of
Bowmanville together with an industrial project was discussed at length with
e those present.
It was recommended to Council
J (a) That Milani & Milanits offer, although made in good faith, is notacce table
(b) That it be suggested to the applicants that they direct their divisio to
the Region in accordance with established procedures available to all citizens.
