Mayor Rickard and Members of Council:
The following is a report of a meeting of the Committee of the Whole held
in the Bowmanville Committee Room on Monday, September 8th, 1975 at 9:00 a.m.
1. Orono P.U.C. Building
Mr. John Ferguson, Engineering Technician, addressed the Committee with reference
to Resolution #CW -321-75. He indicated that he did not feel qualified to prepare
specifications and call tenders for repairs to the Orono building as his
experience was not in this field.
THAT the matter be referred to Leighton and Kidd for processing.
2. Local Initiatives Program
THAT the Planner's recommendation dated September 2nd, 1975 relative to the Local
Initiatives Program and Park Study be concurred with and the Planner requested to
make the necessary application.
3. Mr. Bob Smith - Volunteer Fireman

� THAT the resignation of Mr. Bob Smith from the Volunteer Fire Department be accepted
with regret and a letter sent to him expressing the thanks of Council for his
years of excellent service.

4. Full Time Fire Fighter
THAT the Personnel Committee take steps to fill the vacancy for a full time fire
fighter.
5. Committee of Adjustment
THAT the Mayor be given authority to call a meeting of Council, the Committee of
Adjustment, Provincial Department and Town Solicitor to discuss problems of the
Committee of Adjustment.
