Mayor Rickard and Members of Council:
The following recommendations were made at a meeting of the Committee
of the Whole hold on January 27th, 1975 in the Committee Room of the
Bowmanville Town Hall at 1:00 p.m.
1. Engineer's Architects Building Officials Liaison Committee
THAT the Engineer's Architects Building Officials letter of January 6th, 1975 be
received and filed and that if the Building Inspector has any problems he has
to seek the advice of Council.
2. Comments To Land Division Committee re Severences
THAT with regard to Resolution #C-76,212 when the Planner sends comments to
the Land Division Committee re applications, a paragraph be added to the Planner's
letter to the effect that his comments are not necessarily the official position
of the Council of the Town of Newcastle and that the Town's final position would
be reserved.
3. Mrs. G. Ellis Application for Right of [Jay
THAT the Land Division Committee be advised that Council has no objection to
severance of a mutual driveway between lots 5 and 97 and also that it is
recommended that Mrs. Ellis should have prior right of entry through lot 96.
4. Lycett Street Road Allowance
THAT if Council wishes to sell the -road allowance on Lycett Street, the contents
of Mr. McNeely's letter be adhered to. (Copy Attached)
5. Elrose Construction Hold Back re Darlington Sports Centre
THAT 10% of the 15% hold back for Elrose Construction's account be paid when
the architect guarantees that all supplies, general contractor and sub contractor
have signed wavers of liens and when the Solicitor has reported that there are
no liens outstanding.
6. Payment of Regional Sewer & Water Deficits
THAT the Treasurer be authorised to pay the undernoted net costs as billed by
the Region for sewage and water if he deems them to be in order and charge them
to the respective deficit accounts to be billed as a user charge.

7. Water Supply DarljLiLton Sports Centre
THAT Mr. Falkner be asked to dig at another well location on the property at
no cost to the municipality except for piping and airing.
8. Procedure for Dealing with Subdivision Applications
THAT the form of procedure for dealing with applications for Subdivisions as
presented by the Planer be adopted,
9. Meeting with 9itario Government Cabinet Ministers
THAT the Town of Newcastlehost the reception for the Cabinet Ministers and
invited guests with regard to the study session at the Flying Dutchman on
Wednesday, February 12th, 1975.
