HomeMy WebLinkAbout1980-01-07 ReportREPORT #4 Mayor Rickard and Members of Council: - The following is a report of a meeting of the Planning and Development Committee held on Monday, January 7, 1980: 1. J. Riznek - Commercial designation It was recommended to Council that the letter from Macaulay, Lipson & Joseph relative to proposed commercial designation of lands owned by J. Riznek, dated November 26, 1979, be received for information. 2. 1980 Work Program The Committee adopted the work program for 1980 for the Planning Department as presented. 3. O.P.A. Windsweep Farms (1965) and 385429 Ontario Limited It was recommended to Council that the report on Proposed Official Plan Amendment Windsweep Farms (1965) Limited and 385429 Ontario Limited be received for information and the Town ask the Region why the circulation of this Application did not include the Ministry of Agriculture and Food. 4. Modification No. 26 to Regional Plan It was recommended to Council that the correspondence between Durham Region and the Ministry of Housing, dated December 10, 1979 re Modification Request No. 62 to the Durham Regional Official Plan, Section 14.2.10 be received for information. 5. Hamlet Plans for Haydon and Tyrone It was recommended to Council that Staff be authorized to arrange a public meeting to present the revised hamlet plans for Haydon and Tyrone to the public and a joint meeting be held. 6. Newcastle Senior Citizens Lodge It was recommended to Council that the Finance and Administration Committee be requested to consider the matter of waiving of lot levies or the possibility of a grant -in -lieu thereof for the Newcastle Senior Citizens Lodge at their next meeting and this matter be dealt with prior to the bringing down of the Growth Management Study, conditional on the receipt of the written presentation of Mr. M. Fordham on January 7, 1980 and copies of replies received by Councillor Barr from other municipalities in the Region of Durham, and any others received in the meantime, be made available to other members of Council before the meeting.
